Tune of Choice: Concerning Hobbits, Howard Shore
Memorable Moment: Attempting a gully scramble in the Llanberis Pass, only to find that after a few days of rain, it was a gushing torrent. Instead of bailing, we decided to make up our own route. All was going well until a worryingly steep & chossy gully ended abruptly, leaving us with a crumbly traverse to safety, or so we thought. We had reached the snow line & now had icy holds to deal with. Tom asked me if I was okay, to which I replied honestly “No, I’m really scared.”, however in a final push we made our way up onto the summit plateau of the Glyders. It ended up being the best day I’ve had in the mountains despite all the sketchiness!
